Choosing to welcome a puppy into your family is about far more than simply buying a dog. It marks the beginning of a relationship that will last for many years, which is why it matters so much to us that our puppies go to responsible, loving homes that are well suited to their individual needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The process begins when you first get in touch with us. This may be by email, over the phone or through social media. Even at this early stage, we want to learn a little about the puppy\u2019s prospective family: their lifestyle, experience with animals, expectations of their dog and the home in which our puppy would live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If our initial conversation is brief, we also send a questionnaire containing some additional questions. It helps us get to know prospective owners better and assess whether the Japanese Spitz is the right breed for them. We do not follow a \u201cfirst come, first served\u201d rule. What matters most to us is finding the right home for each puppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We usually begin speaking with people interested in a puppy once the pregnancy has been confirmed. At this point, we draw up a preliminary list of families being considered for that particular litter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this stage, we are not yet choosing a specific puppy. Our priority is to get to know the prospective owners and understand their needs and expectations. We want to determine whether a male or female puppy would be better suited to their home and whether they are looking for a calmer companion, a more outgoing puppy or a dog suited to a more active lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the puppies are born, usually during their first week of life, we contact the selected families. By then, we know how many puppies have been born and how many males and females there are. This allows us to confirm whether the litter includes a puppy who may be well suited to a particular family\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A reservation is confirmed by signing a reservation agreement and paying a deposit of PLN 1,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important to understand that, at this stage, the family is primarily reserving a place in the litter and the opportunity to welcome one of its puppies, rather than immediately selecting a particular puppy. The final choice is made later, once the puppies have grown a little and begun to reveal their individual personalities, allowing us to determine which family each puppy is best suited to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We place great importance on each puppy\u2019s temperament. Appearance matters, but finding a puppy whose temperament suits the prospective owner\u2019s lifestyle is far more important to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We observe the puppies from their very first days of life. We notice which are calmer, which are bolder, which actively seek human company and which need more time and a gentler approach. This allows us to advise each family not only with affection, but also on the basis of careful daily observation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our aim is not simply to find a home for each puppy as quickly as possible. Our aim is to find the right home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the puppies are growing under their mother\u2019s care, we remain in close contact with their prospective families. We send photographs, videos and updates on their development, describing how they are growing, how they are changing and which individual traits are beginning to emerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our puppies usually leave the kennel once they are nine weeks old. We want every puppy to be properly prepared for the move: each has undergone an official litter inspection, been microchipped and wormed, received vaccinations appropriate for its age and been issued with a puppy registration certificate by the Polish Kennel Club (ZKwP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each puppy leaves for its new home with a starter pack, health booklet, puppy registration certificate issued by the Polish Kennel Club (ZKwP) and our guidance on the first few days, feeding, grooming and ongoing care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our role does not end when the puppy is collected. We continue to support our puppies\u2019 families whenever they need us, offering guidance on feeding, grooming, toilet training, first walks, socialisation and everyday life with a Japanese Spitz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are always delighted to hear from the families of the dogs we have bred. Every photograph, message and update about how they are growing is incredibly important to us. Our puppies will always remain part of the Byakko Kitsune story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
