Behind every puppy paw stands a person with a heart for this breed.

Japanese Spitz kennel Byakko Kitsune - a few words about us…

We are a family kennel of Japanese Spitz, born out of genuine passion and love for this remarkable breed. We are registered with the Polish Kennel Club (ZKwP), Katowice Branch, and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), which gives future owners a guarantee of integrity, accountability and the highest breeding standards.

Our dogs are not just representatives of a breed, they are full members of our family. They share our everyday life, doze on the sofa, walk with us through the forest and learn about the world in a safe, homely setting. Every Japanese Spitz from our kennel grows up surrounded by care, closeness and calm.

From the very beginning we have chosen quality over quantity. We select our breeding pairs with care, looking not only at pedigree and appearance, but above all at health and a steady temperament. Japanese Spitz puppies born in our home are properly socialised and prepared for life with their new families.

We are not a large-scale breeding operation. Every litter is a story of its own, full of emotion, joy and tenderness. We do not let a Japanese Spitz puppy go to just anyone. We want every one of them to find a loving, responsible home, which is why we talk with prospective owners before a puppy leaves us, and we are always glad to share what we know.

We stay in touch with our families even after they’ve left the kennel. We set up a private group on Messenger where the owners of our puppies can support one another, ask questions, share their joys and exchange experiences. We believe that kennel is not just the place where a dog is born – it’s a relationship that lasts.

About me – Karolina Grochowiec

A love for animals has been with me since my earliest years. Even as a little girl, I happily cared for animals, and my first dog was not only a playmate, but also my „charge” – I trained him and tried to teach him everything I knew. It was then that a passion was born within me which, over the years, has only matured.

For me, running a kennel is far more than a job. It is a childhood dream come true and an enormous satisfaction that comes from doing what I truly love. I always knew I wanted to build my life around animals, and the kennel has turned out to be the fullest expression of that.

I fell in love with the Japanese Spitz at first sight. Their charm, noble silhouette and bright gaze instantly stole my heart. For me, they are the ideal dogs – intelligent, faithful, loyal, yet easy to groom and perfectly suited to the role of family dogs.

Every day I am glad that I can share my life with such an exceptional breed. This commitment – or rather, way of life – gives me endless joy, motivation to grow and the feeling that I am doing something truly worthwhile.

Where did the idea for the name Byakko Kitsune come from?

Right from the start, japanese spitz dogs reminded us of white Arctic foxes. We weren’t the only ones to make this connection – many people we meet on our walks also notice this resemblance. Inspired by this impression and the breed’s Japanese origins, we decided to delve into the world of Japanese mythology and legends.

This is how we came across the kitsune – a magical nine-tailed fox known from Japanese folklore. Kitsune are intelligent creatures with supernatural abilities that develop with age and wisdom. According to legend, these foxes once lived close to humans and had strong connections with them.

Byakko, in turn, comes from Japanese tradition, where the name is associated with white, sacred animals believed to be close to the spirit world and to bring good fortune. For us, the two words together capture both the look of our dogs and the way we think about them.

Our japanese spitzs, apart from their visual resemblance, are also characterised by their loyalty, sensitivity and extraordinary bond with humans. That is precisely why we felt that the name Byakko Kitsune perfectly captures both the spirit of the breed and our approach to breeding.

Breeding quality – health and temperament first

In our Japanese Spitz kennel, quality comes first, both in the health and in the temperament of our dogs. Every Japanese Spitz we breed undergoes detailed genetic testing and regular veterinary checks, so that we eliminate the risk of hereditary disease and produce offspring free from health problems.

We also take great care in choosing breeding pairs, paying close attention to character and temperament. We know how much temperament matters, which is why we select dogs that are friendly, well-balanced and intelligent, qualities we want to pass on to our Japanese Spitz puppies.

We give them the best possible start from their first days: the right diet, attentive care and daily stimulation that supports their physical and emotional development. As a result, every Japanese Spitz puppy of ours is healthy, strong and ready to become a wonderful companion in a new home.

Japanese Spitz puppies – to responsible homes

Our Japanese Spitz puppies go only to responsible, loving families who understand what this exceptional breed needs. Before we decide to let a puppy go, we talk at length with prospective owners to be sure they will give it a safe, warm and loving home.

We believe that only in such conditions can a Japanese Spitz grow into a healthy, balanced and happy dog. Our aim is for every Japanese Spitz puppy to find a home with attentive care, proper grooming and the chance of an active, full life.

We are here for our owners at every stage, from the first days after a puppy comes home, through adolescence, to adult life. We support them with advice on training, health and everyday care, because the wellbeing of every dog from our kennel matters to us.

Support for our puppy owners

In our kennel, support for the owners of our Japanese Spitz puppies is a priority. We understand that caring for a young dog takes not only time but also knowledge and experience, which is why we stay available at every stage of their dog's life.

We offer practical advice on grooming, feeding, training and handling Japanese Spitz, and we are always happy to answer questions and clear up doubts. Our help does not end when you collect your puppy: we are building a community that supports one another and shares both the joys and the challenges of life with these exceptional dogs.

We also run a private Messenger group, just for the owners of our Japanese Spitz puppies, where you can swap experiences, get quick advice and build lasting friendships with other people who love the breed.
